Cauldron Mud ๐Ÿง™

The Cauldron Mud datapack from Vanilla Tweaks adds a convenient, immersive way to create mud blocks in survival Minecraft by using water-filled cauldrons and dirt โ€” no dripstone contraptions needed.

๐Ÿง  How It Works

In vanilla Minecraft (1.19+), mud is usually created by using a water bottle on a dirt block โ€” a slow and tedious process.

The Cauldron Mud datapack simplifies this:

  1. Fill a cauldron with water (using a water bucket).

  2. Right-click the water-filled cauldron with dirt in your hand.

  3. One dirt block is consumed and converted into a mud block, which is added directly to your inventory.

  4. One level of water is used from the cauldron per conversion.

๐Ÿ’ง A full cauldron holds three uses (like in vanilla mechanics), so you can make three mud blocks per water bucket.

(Other variants like coarse dirt or rooted dirt are not accepted.)
